678 |b Heinz Ivkovits is Head of the Institute for religious education and in-service- training. He is a University of Vienna trained teacher and has been working in the fields of RE training and further education for over 25 years. For his additional degrees he studied Educational Management and Educational Research at the Open University London. His research covers diverse areas such as RE in Europe, transfer evaluation of in-service courses and the understanding and conception of God and religion of adolescents and young adults. He is ex- perienced in managing projects also on a European level. He is a member of several ecumenical working groups and organiser of a number of interreligious, inter-denominational and educational seminars in the field of religious and social issues. He also teaches religious pedagogy and Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) with Catholic, Protestant and Orthodox students
