NO Das Werk des Thomas a Kempis fußt weitgehend auf der "Imitatio Christi" des Gerhard Groote. Thomas hat die "Imitatio" im wesentlichen nur neu gefaßt und ihr so die Form gegeben, in der sie die größte Verbreitung gefunden hat. Zur vorliegenden Ausg. schreibt BM: "Books 1 - 3 of the De Imitatione Christi rewritten by Sebastian Châteillon in Renaissance, instead of Medieval Latin, and edited from a Protestant standpoint". - Die 1.
