Chr. lebendig war: die Tradition über den früheren Tempel JHWHs in Elephantine, d. h. den Tempel, der zum Ende des 5. Jh.s v. Chr. zerstört worden war und den die Juden versuchten wieder aufzubauen. Die Papyri ermöglichen es uns, verschiedene Stadien der Überlieferung ( traditio ) zu unterscheiden und zu erkennen, wie ihre Inhalte ( traditum ) dabei leicht verändert wurden. Die Überlieferung zu dem früheren JHWH Tempel illustriert, wie die archämenidische Beamte Einfluss auf die Gestaltung der jüdischen religiösen Tradition nahmen. Darüber hinaus zeigt sich, dass die Tradition zum früheren JHWH Tempel durch das altorientalische Modell des antiquarianism geprägt wurde. | ||

Here, however, it is argued that the Elephantine papyri attest to a religious tradition that was alive within the Elephantine community at the end of the 5th c. BCE: the tradition about the former temple of YHW in Elephantine , i.e. the temple that was destroyed at the end of the 5th c. BCE and that the Judaeans attempted to rebuild. The papyri enable us to identify successive stages in the process of its transmission (the traditio ) and how its content (the traditum ) was slightly altered throughout the process of transmission. The tradition about the former temple of YHW illustrates how Achaemenid officials took part in the shaping of Judaean religious traditions. Moreover, the tradition about the former temple of YHW was modelled on an ANE pattern of antiquarianism. | ||

Cet article émet la thèse que les papyri d’Eléphantine sont les témoins d’une tradition religieuse vivante dans la communauté d’Eléphantine à la fin du 5 ème siècle av. J.-C. : la tradition de l’ancien temple de YHW à Eléphantine, c’est-à-dire du temple qui avait été détruit à la fin du 5 ème siècle av. J.-C. et que les Judéens essayaient de reconstruire. Les papyri nous permettent d’identifier différentes étapes dans le processus de sa transmission (la traditio ) et de retracer comment son contenu (le traditum ) a été légèrement altéré à travers le processus de transmission. La tradition de l’ancien temple de YHW illustre comment les fonctionnaires achéménides ont pris part à la formation des traditions religieuses judéennes. De plus, la tradition de l’ancien temple de YHW a été modelée sur une un modèle archaïsant du Proche Orient ancien. | ||
