Resumo:The article discusses the ironies of mocking of religion or criticisms of the deity and faith of other people. It tackles the rejection of the worship of false gods in the Hebrew Bible, the punishment for idolatry in the Book of Deuteronomy, the history of idolatry committed by the Israelite community as depicted in the Bible, and stories in the Bible that show actions against idolatry.
