Resumo:The article discusses a spiritual reflection for the 3rd Sunday of Advent and examines bible readings that portend the coming of Christ. It notes that Old Testament prophets Zephaniah and Isaiah, and Paul, the apostle of the New Testament, wrote of receiving the Lord with celebration, thanksgiving, and rejoicing. It cites, however, that John the Baptist's message to the people is present the grim truth that the coming of the Lord should be feared and met with repentance.
