Resumo:This article offers a reflection on a Gospel Reading from 1 Kings 19.1-4, (5-7), 8-15a, Galatians 3.23-29, and Luke 8.26-39, the appointed verses for June 19, 2016: the 5th Sunday after Pentecost. Mentioned are the drama in the scripture involving the prophet Elijah, a demon-possessed man on the wrong side of the Sea of Galilee, and the apostle Paul railing at the Galatians for their disloyalty to him and to the gospel. Discussed also is a sermon about God's love for the hurting world.
