Description
Résumé:From a sociological viewpoint, this article analyses the Muslim Brothers’ organisational complexity and their logics of action in Europe (beyond their role as an active minority). To evoke the coexistence and indeed interactions between their various types of structures, themselves supported by individual memberships in change, the concept movance, which we seek to present here, appears suitable: it allows us to go beyond concepts of movement, organisation, network and field in a Bourdieusian sense of the term in a useful manner, in pointing out the extent to which the Brothers incarnate a relatively open system beyond the tensions internal to their various organised structures: they do not just play at the heart of one and the same arena they endeavour to control, but rather exert their efforts multidirectionally in order to become a reference model for a greater number.
