Gleichzeitig schwindet vor allem in Westeuropa infolge der zunehmenden Religionslosigkeit weiter Bevölkerungsschichten das Verständnis für religiöse Belange. Die religionspolitische Anpassung vieler Gesellschaftsbereiche an die neuen Anforderungen, die sich aus der muslimischen Zuwanderung stellen, partizipiert damit an der Kontroverse über die Rolle, die religiösen Lebensäußerungen im öffentlichen Raum überhaupt zugestanden werden sollen. Der Beitrag diskutiert zunächst Konzept und Ziel von Religionspolitik und die zentrale Bedeutung der Religionsfreiheit für die Religionspolitik, um dann zu analysieren, inwiefern die Religionspolitik im Mittelpunkt der Konkurrenz von identitätsbehafteten Staats- und Freiheitskonzepten steht. Abschließend wird vorgeschlagen, die Religionspolitik sozialethisch als Bestandteil der Integrationspolitik zu verstehen. | ||
| 520 | |a As a result of migration, European societies are today multi-religious societies. At the same time, resulting from ongoing secularization, the understanding of religious concerns in Western Europe is fading away. The adaptation of society to the new requirements arising from Muslim immigration is thus participating in the controversy over the role that religious life manifestations in public space should be given. The article first discusses the concept and the goal of religious policy and the central importance of freedom of religion for it, in order to analyze the extent to which religious policy is based on competing, identity-loaded concepts of state and liberty. Finally, it is suggested that social ethics should reflect on religious policy as a part of integration policy. | ||
