| Zusammenfassung: | Combinig census information with directly obtained ethnographic data and other information on socio-historic conditions, the author makes note of the changes that have taken place in recent decades among the population of Banderilla, in central Veracruz, regarding religious affiliation and confessions. He concludes that these changes can be explained by characteristics of the social fabric whose foundation lies in a set of essential relations that are defined within the regional culture.
