Resumo:Rajasthan, which has hardly had a history of communal violence, has now joined the list of communally sensitive states. The author explores communal violence in Jaipur between Hindus and Muslims in 1990 with special reference to the ideology and organisation of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Rajasthan and its supporting organizations and describes Jaipur's urban geography and demography.
