As the author sees it, the Shiv Sena arose directly from urban unemployment. He inquires what the Shiv Sena is, whether it is associated primarily with the lack of proper jobs and the distress of the youths, who is prone to become a Shiv Sainik etc. with special reference to the Chhattisgarh region of Madhya Pradesh.
