总结:Paul's quotations from the Psalms in Romans are examined to help determine how Paul understands and uses the Psalms and what this says about Paul's general use of the OT. The approach taken is to analyse the quotations in order to draw conclusions about the texts Paul uses, how he interacts with them, and the extent to which he adapts them. The contexts of the quotations are then analysed. These analyses are used to critique the contrasting views of Richard Hays and Christopher Stanley. It is concluded that Paul is a careful user of the LXX text, and that his understanding of David's authorship and the Davidic-Messianic link are important to him.
