AB Many recent works on Latin American catholicism argue that liberation theology is in a state of decline. Some go so far as to claim that it never had much of a presence outside the limited world of priests, nuns and development workers. Together with visible demonstrations of Vatican hostility, this view has led to the idea that liberation theology is finished. But is it really?
