Der Vers Mt 18,17 „… sei er dir wie der Heide und der Zöllner“ wird häufig so interpretiert, dass er den Ausschluss aus der Gemeinschaft oder der Kirche legitimiert. Basierend auf der Untersuchung dieses Verses in seinem Kontext zeigt die Autorin, dass es sich um eine präzise Handlungsanweisung handelt, die – statt sich des Sünders zu entledigen – vielmehr die besondere Zuwendung zu ihm fordert, um ihn in die Gemeinschaft zu integrieren. |
