It outlines the different objectives in Palestinian and Israeli policy stressing the fact that the Palestinians are committed to the creation of a Palestine state whereas the Israeli government under Netanyahu does its most to undermine any prospects for a Palestinian state. Despite this obstacle in the Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations the article remains optimistic.
