A final section will consider some Johannine and Pauline texts in order to explore more fully the relationship between the divine and the human works. The theme of creation appears to be more important than has been recognized in the past. God's works are works of creation through Jesus enabling human beings to keep the works of Jesus instead of doing the works of the Devil, which undo creation and destroy the earth (11:18; 19:11). |
