| Sumario: | There are three different ways through which one can reflect on significant historical events and processes: historical research, historical interpretation, and the politics of history. Debates on the significance of the birth of Protestantism not only show that there are a significant number of denominational and non-denominational perspectives, but also reflect a contribution of the Reformation to the present-day religious situation, namely a welcoming and tolerant pluralism within religious bodies. |
