Dans l'Ancien Testament biblique, si des règles sont explicitement énoncées, les normes n'ont pas toujours un contenu formulé, et ne bénéficient pas nécessairement d'une justification rationnelle. Surgissant au sein de situations de parole où elles acquièrent leur pertinence, elles n'ont pas besoin d'une formulation pour que jouent leur effectivité et leur autorité. Car il convient aussi de les chercher et de les trouver pour en vivre. | ||
| 520 | |a This article examines the question of norms in the Bible on the basis of a few texts that treat this question in the contexts of law and of wisdom, including the Prophets, with the expression “law and justice” ; the Ten Commandments ; the Book of Sirach ; and Psalm 119. In the Old Testament, even if rules are explicitly stated, norms do not always have a fully-articulated meaning and do not necessarily benefit from rational justification. Arising in speech situations in which they establish their relevance, they do not need a formal statement to ensure their effectiveness and authority. We must search for and discover these texts in order to live them out. | ||
