There was little internal reliability for the seven items taken as a single index. A factor analysis shows that the items fall into two factors (acceptance of belief and order and the value of suffering), and these are related to traditional, institutional religious concerns as measured by doctrinal orthodoxy, associational involvement, devotionalism, and sectarianism.
