Σύνοψη:Marking the completion of fifteen years of experience, the Centre for the Study of Islam and Christian-Muslim Relations on October 4, 1991 arranged a (closed) Round Table discussion on ‘Christian-Muslim Relations into the Twenty-first Century'. The five participants were Professor Akbar Ahmed (Pakistan), the present holder of the Allama Iqbal Professorship at Cambridge University who kindly hosted the meeting, Professor Mahmoud Ayoub (Lebanon), Professor of Islamic Studies at Temple University, Philadelphia, USA, Dr Thomas F. Michel (USA) who heads the Islam section of the Pontifical Council for Dialogue with other Religions in the Vatican, Dr Jørgen S. Nielsen (Denmark), Director of CSIC and Dr Christian W. Troll (Germany), who chaired the discussion and edited the transcript in close collaboration with each of the participants. He expresses his heartfelt thanks to each of the participants, particularly to those who took the trouble to come specially from abroad.
