Ni seulement péché, ni possession démoniaque, ils sont rendus possibles par le consentement personnel plus ou moins conscient donné au mal. La démarche de délivrance se situe donc bien au cœur de l'articulation entre dimensions spirituelle et psychologique de l'homme. En exposant les ressorts spirituels de certains enfermements et blessures psychiques, la prière de délivrance peut en effet avoir un réel effet psychologique. Mais celui-ci n'est pas à rechercher pour lui-même, et la délivrance est surtout un outil d'évangélisation qui permet d'annoncer le salut offert en Jésus Christ, notre libérateur. | ||
| 520 | |a It is been fifty years since the prayer of deliverance was rediscovered in the Catholic Church, but this practice remains little-known. Prayers of deliverance seek to break the harmful spiritual bonds formed by sins or wounds suffered in a person’s life. These bonds are the result not only of sin or of demonic possession but are made possible by more or less conscious personal consent to evil. The process of deliverance is thus located at the heart of the relationship between the spiritual and psychological dimensions of the human person. By exposing the spiritual source of certain psychological wounds and blockages, the prayer of deliverance can indeed have a real psychological effect on the subject. But this effect is not to be sought only for itself, and deliverance is above all a tool of evangelisation that makes it possible to announce the salvation offered through Jesus Christ, our liberator. | ||
