Resumo:The article discusses the efforts by churches to help in resolving social, political, religious, and economic issues in the African continent, particularly in South Africa. Also cited are the need for Christian communities to address public issues like corruption, oppression, and governance, the theological disciplines such as pastoral care, practical theology, and public theology, as well as the decolonization programs in South African universities.
