Phillip Michael Lasater addresses such questions through philological, concept-historical, and exegetical analyses, responding to the history of research on the topic and opening up fresh perspectives. Die Vorstellung der Gottesfurcht ist innerhalb der hebräischen Bibel und über sie hinaus weit verbreitet. Was verstand man unter diesem Konzept und wie kamen antike jüdische Schriftgelehrte dazu, die Begriffe »Furcht« und »Gott« miteinander in Verbindung zu bringen?
