AB This paper focuses on the intimate connection between climate change and deforestation in Asia. It views reforestation both as a means to mitigate climate change and as reparation for ecological sins. It proposes that regenerating native tree species mitigates climate change and serves as an appropriate restitution for the ecological damages brought about by the colonization of our natural forests.
