| Summary: | Der Beitrag thematisiert Strukturprobleme des deutschen Gesundheitswesens am Beispiel des Krankenhaussektors. Entgegen wettbewerblich orientierten gesundheitsökonomischen Konzepten, die nicht hinreichend das strukturelle Marktversagen im Gesundheitswesen beachten, tritt er für eine bessere staatliche Regulierung, eine vorrangige öffentliche und freigemeinnützige Trägerschaft von Krankenhäusern und eine Reduzierung von ökonomischen Anreizen für leitende Ärzte ein. The article addresses structural problems of the German health care system using the example of the hospital sector. Contrary to competitive health-economic concepts that do not sufficiently take into account structural market failures in the health sector, it advocates better government regulation, priority public and non-profit-making sponsorship of hospitals and a reduction in economic incentives for senior doctors. |
