AB Organprotektive Intensivmaßnahmen bleiben auch nach den jüngsten Novellen des Transplantationsgesetzes ungeregelt. Insbesondere vor Feststellung des Hirntods stellen sie ein gravierendes ethisches Problem mit der Selbstbestimmung des Patienten dar. Hier bedarf es einer intensiven Aufklärungsarbeit zur Organspende und -protektion im Rahmen von Advance Care Planning-Angeboten für alle Bürger. Zudem erscheint die weitere Fortbildung von Ärzten zu Fragen der Organspende wichtig, um ein größeres Bewusstsein und klarere Kompetenzen im Umgang mit organprotektiven Maßnahmen zu erzeugen. Der Gesetzgeber ist aufgerufen, Organprotektion wie Advance Care Planning für alle Bürger gesetzlich klar zu regeln.
AB Intensive organ protection measures remain unregulated even after the latest amendments to the German Transplantation Law. Especially before brain death is diagnosed, they pose a serious ethical problem with the patient’s self-determination. Here, intensive education work on organ donation and protection within the framework of Advance Care Planning offers for all citizens is needed. In addition, the further training of doctors on organ donation issues appears important in order to create greater awareness and clearer competencies in dealing with organ protection measures. The legislator is called upon to regulate organ protection such as Advance Care Planning clearly for all citizens.
