Descripción
Sumario:In this second edition, curated by Carlos José Errázuriz and Petar Popovic, the English translation of this book, which can already be called a classic, was significantly approved especially by highlighting (from the very title and throughout the whole book) the concept of right as that which is just. - In Critical Introduction to Natural Right, presented here in its second English edition, Javier Hervada proposes what he labels as "classical juridical realism," which considers the notion of right as that which is just to be the focal point of the juridical domain.Written for didactic purposes, this short book is highly original. In fact, it represents a decisive turning point in Hervada’s intellectual itinerary and therefore remains a foundational text for the whole of his juridical thought. Javier Hervada (1934-2020), the author of numerous prestigious publications, was a distinguished professor at the University of Navarra (Pamplona, Spain) in the field of canon law and legal philosophy. He has contributed to both areas with his well-known distinctive academic traits which have deeply marked the itinerary of his thought: the firm mentality of a jurist and the centrality of the question of the essence of right.
