Zusammenfassung:The passing away of Quino, Mafalda’s “father”, has brought to light the immense world of his comic strips. Among these, there is a famous joke attributed to Mafalda: «Stop the world, I want to get off!» Well, the joke is not one of his own! And, Quino himself revealed it, not only denying its authorship, but adding that Mafalda loves the world, wants to improve it, and does not intend to abandon it at all. The character’s story is complex, so here we retrace the main stages. Mafalda and her friends are known throughout Europe, which is especially thanks to Italy. Although Quino did not draw the contestant and biting child after 1977, the success of the enfant terrible, who also undoes her parents, is still extraordinary.
