AB Im Genfer Gelöbnis (Weltärztebund) werden ökonomisch-normative Aspekte ärztlicher Berufsausübung bisher nicht benannt. Verschiedene Ethikkodex-Initiativen befassen sich inzwischen mit dem Spannungsfeld zwischen ökonomischen Aspekten und dem berufsethischen Verhalten der Ärzteschaft in Krankenhäusern. Eine Ökonomie-bezogene Ergänzung des aktuellen Gelöbnistexts erscheint sinnvoll. Die berufliche Lebensrealität von Klinikärztinnen und -ärzten könnte dadurch zukünftig umfassender im Genfer Gelöbnis berücksichtigt werden und somit das Gelöbnis stärken.
AB The Declaration of Geneva (World Medical Association) does not yet mention the economic- normative aspects of medical practice. Various ethics code initiatives are now concerned with the area of conflict between economic aspects and the professional ethical behaviour of physicians in hospitals. An economy-related supplement to the current pledge's text seems to make sense. The professional life of hospital physicians could so be taken into account more comprehensively in the Declaration of Geneva in the future and thus strengthen it.
