M Lemos shows how the Bible can be used to advocate for an inclusive, egalitarian personhood in contrast with the violent masculine dominance so often found in its texts. The book focuses on the way brutal violence crushes persons in ancient Israel and West Asia, but Lemos ultimately advocates for an ethical vision of individual autonomy and personal agency. | ||
