總結:Theology as a study subject in higher education and as a scholarly discipline has been recognised in modern Russia for a period of less than thirty years. Secular universities as well as theological institutions of various Christian denominations are engaged in developing theological education for their respective purposes. This article seeks to present recent legal changes that significantly influence the development of theological education in Russia. At the same time the article seeks to highlight current challenges that Protestant (evangelical) theological institutions are facing in terms of state accredited programmes in theology and ministerial training. The article also presents some suggestions to overcome these challenges as well as offering ideas for further development.
