Zusammenfassung:The reflection departs from ethical considerations regarding donor insemination, by confronting the positions that justify its legitimacy, in the name of the absolute right for fatherhood/motherhood, against those of the teachings of the Catholic Magisterium, which on the other hand emphasize how these are techniques which profoundly harm the goods of marriage. In light of such considerations, the resulting consequences are examined, of when a positive reservation or the simple forecasting of a donor insemination occur, and what they yield on the validity of the matrimonial consent. The themes of marriage impediments and legitimate sonship are considered in the case where children are generated through the assistance of third party genetic patrimony with respect to the couple.
