Diese qualitative Interviewstudie fragt nach den Erfahrungen, Bedürfnissen und Wünschen von am IC-Prozess Beteiligten. Um Verständnis für die bevorstehenden Maßnahmen zu erzielen, sind neben dem Umgang mit Fakten-Wissen, z. B. zu Risiken einer Intervention, auch unbewusste und emotionale Prozesse maßgeblich. Einwilligende wünschen eine Aufklärung in wertschätzender Weise, die die individuelle Situation und Lebenswelt berücksichtigt und die sie derzeit vermissen. Die Vertrauensbeziehung zwischen Aufklärenden und Einwilligenden beeinflusst genauso wie der Faktor Zeit maßgeblich, ob eine Entscheidung als positiv erlebt wird. 
520 |a Informed consent (IC) processes and documents do not always lead to comprehension of the participants in research projects or medical treatments. This qualitative study asks about the experiences, needs and wishes of involved in the IC process. In order to achieve understanding for the upcoming measures, in addition to dealing with factual knowledge, e.g. about the risks of an intervention, unconscious and emotional processes are also decisive. Consenting people wish for a consent process in an appreciative manner that considers the individual situation and living environment that they are currently missing. The relationship of trust between the informing party and the consenting party, just like the time factor, has a decisive influence on whether a decision is experienced as positive.
