Sumario: | This paper argues that in depicting the worship of God by all creatures the book of Revelation recognizes the value of the whole creation for God. In Revelation's vision of heaven, the twenty-four elders are heavenly rulers, while the four living creatures are heavenly priests whose existence is wholly taken up in worship. Closer than any to the throne of God, they worship representatively, on behalf of the whole animate creation, human and non-human, as their forms indicate. |
