Zusammenfassung:In the last 10,000 years, deforestation due to human causes has generated severe impacts. It is necessary to specify the current context and its dynamics in the tropical forests of Africa and Asia, before analysing the contribution of those ecosystems to human well-being, the impacts of their degradation on ecosystems, and their direct consequences on the growth of poverty for millions of people. Finally, it is also necessary to recognize not only the social and economic nature of the ecological crisis, but also that its eco-ethical essence allows for strategies to increase the resilience of ecosystems and the communities that depend on them.
