Résumé:The imagination of space in the Psalms does not only describe places but rather it is used for an orientation that structures experience. With the help of new and sometimes even daring metaphorical language facets of reality are shown from a different perspective. This article summarizes the images of space in the Psalms and describes some particular and exceptional metaphors on the background of the more common images.
