Σύνοψη: | jts readers may be surprised to see a review of the present title, in view of their familiarity with the volume by the same name and authors which was published in 1989; and indeed, their sense of déjà vu would not be misplaced. The volume under review is a ‘completely revised and expanded edition’ of the earlier title, published in a different format and with a different publisher. The new version is more business-like, of textbook size and shape rather than the ‘coffee table’ format of the original, and contains only a handful of the photographs with which the original is so lavishly illustrated, although it is still well stocked with maps and charts at appropriate points. |
