Starting from late medieval theology (pp. 5–14), via the precursors of the Reformation in England and Bohemia (pp. 15–22), the work considers in turn the lives and works of Erasmus, Luther, Melanchthon, Zwingli, Bucer, Calvin, and Cranmer; introduces the reader to subsequent reform movements in the Lutheran, Calvinist, and Catholic traditions; and, in a chapter on Anabaptist theology, briefly touches on the subject of the radical reformation.
