Riepilogo:The contributors’ list of this Festschrift reads like a veritable Who’s Who of the scholars devoted over the last two to three decades to the debates on Israel’s (non-)history, attesting both to the extent of Grabbe’s own contributions in this field and the esteem in which his contributions are held by his colleagues. The perspectives of the contributors cover the full range of critical conclusions regarding the history, historicity, and historiography of the biblical texts and their world. Unsurprisingly, the majority of the contributions concern the history and literature of the Persian and subsequent periods, but a few concern pre-Exilic matters.
