總結:‘Studies in Theological Interpretation’ is a series which encourages its authors to be less concerned with the historical origins of Scripture and more with its ‘canonical richness’, leading on to the history of the reception of biblical texts. Gordon Wenham is well qualified for this task: his Story as Torah (2004) examined the contribution of the Pentateuchal narratives to our understanding of Old Testament ethics, and, given the paucity of scholarly material on the influence of psalmody on Jewish and Christian ethics, Psalms as Torah is a natural sequel. In it he seeks to apply both a canonical approach and, to a limited degree, a reception-history approach.
