The first part briefly reviews the historical evolution of the concept of orientation, and the gradual recognition of its role in an educational context is explained. The article proceeds by presenting the figure of the psychologist within the school in order to illustrate the methodology characterizing the interventions, the procedures for discovering students' attitudinal and affective-motivational skills, and the additional formational and psychoeducational services directed towards parents, students, and teachers.
