Descripción
Sumario:Sahl ibn Hârûn, Persian origin, is one of the prominent scholars in Arabic Literature. He was criticized because he defended the stinginess in his works. He was angry with sons of his uncle since they also criticized his views, and wrote a letter to them to defend his views about stinginess in ironic way. Jâhiz placed this letter in his book, called el-Buhalâ’ (Stingiers). It was discovered that Sahi ibn Hârûn wasn’t stingy in reality after our investigation and assessments, and as many other authors he approached the stinginess in an ironic way
