"Und er sandte ... und er schrieb ...“: Wayyiqtol als Plusquamperfekt? - eine kritische Bestandsaufnahme

The paper examines different cases in which a series of wayyiqtol-forms are in a real or supposed non- or meta-chronoligical order. It tries to show that the interpretation of these forms as pluperfect, as often done, is not convincing: neither for Biblical Hebrew nor (modern) translations.
