Through examining theological language, Jones offers analysis of biblical perspectives on patience and related terms. His chronological narrative allows readers to grasp the evolution of perceiving patience through an extensive context of Christian doctrines, such as the Trinity, Christology, providence and creation. He also emphasizes that the motif of patience should play a leading role in Christian theological reflection on God's ways and works"--
