Paul Dafydd Jones answers these questions by expertly guiding students through the meaning of patience in the Bible, and examining claims about divine and human patience. Jones offers examples from the works of Augustine of Hippo, Julian of Norwich, John Calvin, Karl Barth and other theological thinkers to argue for patience playing a leading role in theological reflection. Through examining theological language, Jones offers analysis of biblical perspectives on patience and related terms.
