RT Article T1 Die jüdischen Wurzeln des christlichen Gottesdienstes JF Jahrbuch für Liturgik und Hymnologie VO 28 SP 39 OP 55 A1 Schulz, Frieder 1917-2005 A1 Luff, A. LA German PB Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht YR 1984 UL https://www.ixtheo.de/Record/1817648020 AB The writer gives a review of the history of research into the Jewish heritage in Christian worship, also and especially outside Germany up to the present. Through examples from individual texts (I Clement, the Didache eucharistic prayer, the Improparia) and liturgical hymns, he shows how strongly the rich Jewish inheritance still lives in the Christian liturgy. Finally, he pinpoints prayer in the structure of the Beracha, the song of praise beginning with the Creation, and a fixed form of Creed as the three main elements which the Church owes to the Synagogue.
