AB Der Beitrag beschreibt ein Forschungsprojekt zum Religionsunterricht in einer Kultur tendenziell steigender Konfessionslosigkeit. Er geht in drei Schritten vor: Zunächst präsentiert er Daten zur Konfessionslosigkeit und verdeutlicht, dass sie sich nicht von vornherein mit einer völligen Abkehr von Religion identifizieren lässt. Ein zweiter Schritt skizziert einige konzeptionelle Elemente des gegenwärtigen Religionsunterrichts, der sich als ein positioneller und reflexiver Beitrag zu allgemeiner Bildung versteht. Auf diesem Hintergrund werden Linien eines Forschungsprojekts entfaltet, das sich den Fragen religiöser Bildung im Horizont von Konfessionslosigkeit widmet.
AB This article describes a research project on religious education in a culture of increasing non-denominationalism. It proceeds in three steps: First, it presents data on non-denominationalism and makes clear that it cannot be identified a priori with a complete renunciation of religion. A second step outlines a number  of conceptual elements of contemporary religious education, which sees itself as  a positional and reflexive contribution to general education. On this background, lines of a research project are unfolded, which is dedicated to the questions of  religious education on the horizon of non-denominationalism.
