Σύνοψη:The aim of the article is to present the religious context of conspiracy theories in relation to monotheistic and quasi-religious religions (secular ideologies and ufological movements). The conspiracy theories are usually not falsified on the basis of fact explanation, but can be understood from the perspective of cultural studies and religious studies. Their influence is particularly strong in the area of contemporary popular culture, but also in the area of religious doctrines and narratives with conspiracy threads. It is also impossible to fully study this phenomenon without considering the problem of mediatization of religions. This is due to the fact that various conspiracy theories appear parallel to the process of transferring religion into the media space.
