AB Das Motu proprio Competentias quasdam vom 11. Februar 2022 möchte in der Kirche eine „heilsame Dezentralisierung“ herbeiführen. Seine Veröffentlichung steht vermutlich im Zusammenhang mit der Reform der Römischen Kurie durch die Apostolische Konstitution Praedicate Evangelium vom 19. März 2023. Die tatsächlichen Auswirkungen des Motu proprio sind jedoch ziemlich gering. Das wird deutlich, wenn man es vergleicht mit der gesamten Liste jener Angelegenheiten, die eine Beteiligung des Apostolischen Stuhls erfordern. Aus dieser Liste, die sicherlich mehr als einhundert Punkte umfasst, hat das Motu proprio nur einen einzigen Eintrag gestrichen, die Notwendigkeit einer Bestätigung von Entlassungsdekreten für Ordensleute. Um eine Dezentralisierung zu erreichen, durch die sich die Rolle des Apostolischen Stuhls nennenswert ändert, wäre ein weitaus umfangreicheres Projekt erforderlich.
AB The motu proprio Competentias quasdam of 11 February 2022 wants to realize a “healthy decentralization” in the Church. Its publication is probably connected to there form of the Roman Curia through the apostolic constitution Praedicate Evangelium of 19 March 2022. The actual impact of the new motu proprio is, however, quite limited. This becomes clear when it is compared to the list of all the affairs that require some sort of involvement of the Apostolic See. From this list, which certainly comprises more than one hundred items, the motu proprio has withdrawn only one single item, the need of a confirmation for a decree of dismissal of a religious. In order to realize a decentralization which is able to really change the role of the Apostolic See, a much more extensive project would be necessary.
