Descrição
Resumo:The article explores the connection between divine judgment and human happiness, asking about the ethical implications of Christian talk of God's wrath and judgment. The positions of the medieval thinker Thomas Aquinas and the Protestant Enlightenment theologian Johann Joachim Spalding are examined. Against this background, the contribution of Lutheran theology to this topic is presented and the question of possible perspectives of a contemporary speaking of God's judgment is addressed.
